I've always done my own tax to save money. I'm a sole trader and do a couple of different jobs. I've never claimed deductions because I couldn't figure out how but this year I had to purchase some expensive things for work so I would like to claim them.
When I was doing my tax I used the tool around psi and it was determined the rules applied to me but the wouldn't let me claim deductions and proceed. I went back and selected business thinking I had gotten confused but I couldnt proceed that way either.
Am I missing something?
