Hi, me and my spouse have a Couples private health cover under the same policy. Our premium have been reduced after the rebate has been applied (as per our insurer). When I lodge my tax return, there was no section for me to input my tax claim codes and benefit codes, however, when my spouse tried to lodge his tax return, there is a section where he needs to fill out the tax claim codes and benefit codes. Does this mean he is eligible to claim for the rebate? If yes, we are not sure what tax claim codes to write. Please help!

Thank you so much!

Hi @Jenica

If you didn't have to fill out your tax claim code, then it might be because that info has been pre-filled

If not and the policy is also in your name, you can manually add your details if needed.

Your partners rebate entitlement will be worked out after they lodge.

We need more info to work out what tax claim code to use. You can work out it out by looking here at Private health insurance myTax 2024.
