Our new client has lost her tfn. 16 years old. Has never lodged a tax return. Called the ATO for help. Verified with birth certificate, medicare card and previous address. Told not enough ID.

She doesn't have any further ID. What can we do. We can't add her to the portal until we have the TFN. Thank you.

You cannot do anything - she has to find it.


She can ask ATO to re-issue TFN notice by mail.
