If there wasn't a section on the SGC form to include the fund details for your employees, we can use the end of financial year records the super funds send us. This way we can work out where the payments need to go.
The employees don't need to do anything unless they want to nominate a different super fund. They can change these details pretty easily by using ATO online, or by calling us.
It can take up to 28 days for us to process the form, and once it's credited to the employee's account we can issue the payment to the super fund on the next scheduled pay run (which is scheduled on a twice a month basis). Once we know if the super fund have accepted or declined the payment, we'll send a letter to the employee. So the time it takes for them to get a letter can vary, depending on how long these above steps take.
