I received TSL for my time as an apprentice and there was supposed to be a credit once I completed my apprenticeship, took out the full loan & paid the loan back once I had full-time employment. I have completed all 3 of the stipulations.


My ATO account doesn't say anything about a payback on my statement, in fact I paid over the loan amount. However, I have had no correspondence regarding this nor have I received any money. I completed my payments in August 2023 & just thought this would be paid out to me at tax time, but my accountant knows nothing about this.


Who do I contact to sort this out? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Patsy48,


Congratulations on finishing your apprenticeship!


If the 20% discount is already showing on your ATO account, you can contact the ATO to request the refund. If it isn't already on the account, you will need to contact your Apprenticeship network provider to find out if it has been sent to the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).


It goes to DEWR for processing before they send it to the ATO. The ATO can't help you until the discount is on your account.


If your provider has already sent the confirmation of your completion to DEWR, you may need to speak to DEWR.
