I had a total of $2200 taken out of my fortnightly pay throughout this tax year by my employer. There was nothing to show this on my PAYG summary. When I did my tax $1600 was deducted from my refund for compulsory HECS debt repayment. The $2200 I’ve paid previously through my employer has not been credited to my HECs debt. Where is the $2200 that my employer was deducting fortnightly gone?

The $2,200.00 was included as part of your PAYGW for year, it is not shown separately on your income summary.

This amount contributed to your compulsory repayment of $1,600.00, the balance was included in your refund, if you received one.
