Hi, I am an international student here in Australia under student visa and I would like to clarify if I could possibly claim my tuition fee for my Certificate IV in aged care as it is related to my work and I’m already working in the industry prior to commencement of this course.

Hi @Lnclnlchln

What we look at is if the course will help you to maintain or improve your skills or knowledge in your current job, or if the course is likely to result in an income increase for your current job.

You can read more about the eligibility to claim Self-education expenses and the type of expenses you can or cannot claim.

If you need further confirmation, you can get tailored technical advice. We’ll then be able to discuss your circumstance in more detail and provide you with a written response.
