Background info:

  • I have a defacto partner who is on a student visa and she doesn't have medicare (she has OSHC)
  • I have included her as my spouse last and current financial year
  • My private health insurance is a single cover policy and I have medicare
  • In my last tax return I claimed tax code A

I assume I should claim tax code A again as I don't have any dependent child nor I am a dependent on anybody's health insurance cover. But only options that show is C, E and F. How can I choose code A when it doesn't appear as an option.

If something is unclear, please ask me a question.
