Hi- I am on Only fans and sell premium snaps. I declare all my online income and snap income. However what happens when clients send me money when I don't do anything-- sometimes they'll just be out at the casino and they win some money and send me some. I didn't ask for it and I didn't send them any content- is this income?

I also struck up a friendship with a client overseas. I mentioned I wanted to get out of the Industry and he said he could support me to do that- so just started sending me money. I don't ask for it- and I am not his suga baby- he just wants to help me out. The amounts are random, nothing regular.

I don't need his money to survive- I make enough running my business. It's more personal than business- so that would be tax free?

Hi @spicytax

Hmm this is a tricky one. Some gifts can be taxable.

Gifts from relatives for special occasions aren't taxable. However, gifts may be taxable if you receive them as part of a business-like activity or for your income-earning activities.

If you're after a clear-cut answer if might be best to apply for a private ruling.
