Hello

I am on a working holiday visa. I received an interest in Australia, and I'm not a resident for tax purposes.

In the section where it says "Country of residence for tax purposes when interest was paid or credited", do I put Australia or my home country even if I am not there and I am here in Australia?

Thank oyu

Hi @coolridge

In your case, you should put your own country in the section where it says "Country of residence for tax purposes when interest was paid or credited", even if you are currently not living in your own country.

You might be entitled same tax rates as Australian resident if WHMs from NDA countries. Go to the ATO website and put " QC50742" in the search bar and then you will find relevant information.
