Hi ATO,
I had a lease contract approved by SG Fleet to purchase a 2024.5 Ford Wildtrak V6 with factory fitted options at build. I have been waiting some months for the vehicle, during this time I sold my vehicle and had also paid a $1000 deposit to Ford for my new vehicle soon to arrive.
SG Fleet has now only just said they won't allow the lease of the vehicle because the payload is rated to 1010kg. However, Ford have two payloads (kerb weight 966kg and min kerb weight 1010kg) with a disclaimer to detail between the two.
The first payload is 966kg with Page 29 of their brochure, Disclaimer #9 stating, kerb weight (966kg) includes factory fitted optional equipment.
Min kerb weight (1010kg) includes the lightest possible orderable.
Ford have directly stated the min kerb weight is for a standard Wildtrak V6 with NO options.

I am now financially at a loss due to SG Fleet making their own interpretation up and not listening to Ford and their engineering specifications.
They have emailed SG Fleet and told them my vehicle I have ordered is based on 966kg as per their engineering specifications and the Ford Australia document I have provided in the link above.
Any assistance would be great.
Thank you
