Can I claim Income Protection premium (Plan is under group/employer)? Premium is paid by the employee and reflected as a "Pre-Tax Deductions" on payslip.

That sounds like it is claimed by employer under a salary sacrifice.

Pre-tax means that the deduction comes off your gross income before tax is applied. If that is the case then this premium is not included in gross income on your payment summary. May be a salary sacrifice amount.
It is therefore not tax deductible.
