I have a question about the amount approved by the ATO on per diems.

My understanding is if I'm earning 200k per year regardless of being FT or PT, I would be eligible to claim expenses from TABLE 7 and then based on the country, I'd use table 9.

I've recently been advised that if I was PT and grossed 150K per year, I should be eligible for 50% of Table 8 instead of using table 7. Is that correct?

Seeking clarification.

Hi @Ebm,

That depends.

Our Tax Determination goes by 3 annual salary levels regardless of being Ft or PT as you mentioned.

But you may have something like that laid out in your award or enterprise bargaining agreement/contract.

So, you might want to check out all these things to find out.
