Hello,

I got my Notice of assessment last week and I am trying to work out if the result is correct but I am having trouble understanding it.

1) if I have Tax on your taxable or net income with a certain amount under Debits, does that mean the amount of Tax I should be paying?

2) And under Less non-refundable tax offsets- Low income offset calculated by us and Less refundable tax offsets - Private health insurance rebate there are certain amount under Credits, do they mean the amount should be deduct and therefore act as the amount as the parts I already paid

3) Does Less Pay as you go (PAYG) credits and other entitlements - PAYG withholding (eg tax deducted by your employer or bank) means the amount of tax I already paid?

Thank you so much!

Hello @a65172001,

No worries, lets answer the questions you've raised about your Notice of Assessment.

  1. No, this is your assessable income made up of the gross income from your employer minus any allowable deductions you can claim.
  2. No, these are offsets that reduces the tax you need to pay.
  3. Yes, this is the amount of tax that was withheld by your employer or bank.
