Sales of $1,000 or more

Tax invoices for sales of $1,000 or more also need to show the buyer's identity or ABN.

Does this mean that sales invoices that are more than a $1000 does not need an ABN shown on the invoice to claim back the GST. Only the seller needs to show their ABN but not the purchaser. I would have thought that if a company wants to claim gst then their ABN should also be on the Tax invoice?

Tax invoices of $1,000 or more need to have the buyer's identity in addition to having all the details that are required on tax invoices of $1,000 or less. Link explains

How much detail is required to identify the buyer? E.g. we often receive invoices which are billed to our company name, minus the "Pty Ltd" part. Is this considered sufficient?
