We are paying our employees an allowance which is "Allowance – meals and incidentals – domestic, amount does not exceed ATO reasonable amount" which is tax free as under the amounts.

we are using reckon payroll

when we tick tax not applicable - this allowance is not reported to the ATO

do we still need to show the allowance on the payment summary under allowance or does it just sit under gross, or does it not show at all at EOFY?

Hi @saz02h,

No, it shouldn't be shown on the payment summary. You do need to show the allowance on their payslip though.

We've had a similar question see this previous post and the response given.
