Uber rideshare issues tax invoices to it's drivers but the GST is not always 10% of the services. I'm not sure if this is intentional or a mistake. This is an example from a tax invoice issued by them:
GST GST Amount Net amount
10% $5.32 $53.05 (Uber services)
10% $0.88 $8.47 (Booking Fee)
10% $0.30 $3.00 (Accelerated disbursement fee)
Total net amount $64.52
Total GST 10% $6.50
Total amount payable $71.02
It's only a few cents difference but it adds up.
I'm not sure if I should claim the (incorrect) GST amount they are stating on the invoice, or calculate 10% of the total services fees?
