Hello,

I often travel to client locations (which is not my usual work location) using my own car. My employer does not provide any reimbursement for such travels.

I want to claim a deduction for such travel using 'Cents per kilometre method'. Such travel amounted to around 2,000 km during FY24 and at the rate of 85 cents per kilometre, I would like to avail a deduction of $1,700 ( 2000 km x 85 cents).

Can someone please suggest what can I show as written evidence or records for this?
