I have just deregistered my company in August and the status shows Strike-Off Action In Progress on ASIC website. But today I received a message asking me to apply for director ID immediately or it occurs penalty. I am confused, anyone can help to figure it out please?

If the company is deregistered and you’re not a director of any other company, then you don’t need a Director ID.
If you do plan to become a director again, you must apply for a director ID before you’re appointed.
