I have got a client who has asked for us to make payments to a couple of individuals, who are also employees of the corporation and considered them as independent contractors and they have provided invoices without ABN.
I have been asked to make payments to them without withholding any tax (PAYG & GST).
Would this be correct ?

If they're getting a payment as a contractor, they should provide an ABN.
In most cases you'll withhold when no ABN is provided.
But there're some payments you don't withhold from.
If the payment doesn't fit into one of these scenarios, you should withhold tax from this payment.
