I have received a tax credit which was credited to my nominated account, however I now have a income tax 551 appearing as owing. If my tax was already assessed, how does this apply?
Also, how do I speak to the ATO to understand where this has come from?

Did you lodge more than 1 tax return?
Have you lodged an amendment?
Check your notice of assessment and or amended notice of assessment.
We may have amended the return if information was missing from the lodgement.
This could've changed the outcome of the return.
