Hi,

My 13 year old has just started working and his employer has requested that he join a super fund so they can contribute superannuation on his behalf. I've run into a problem locating a fund that will register him. A lot of fund's I've contacted have a minimum age of 15.

Some advice please on which funds will register under 15 years of age and what happens to his super benefits that the company is 'holding' onto for him if he has to wait until 15?

Thanks

Z

I think your child wouldn't be working enough hours to even be paid super, i believe they have to work a minimum of 30 hrs per week to be paid super as per Work out if you have to pay super i dont even think its legal for a young teen to work that many hours in a week either....
