I am applying for a new partnership ABN. Several places online at the ATO and ABR, say that you can apply for ABN and TFN at the same time when applying for an ABN. You can also apply for a TFN separately using Apply for Other Registrations. I selected apply for ABN, during the process it says to enter the TFN or the application might be delayed. I thought it was going to allow me to apply for a TFN at the same time. What am I missing?

This is just a standard question on the application, so if you don't already have a TFN for the partnership, you can skip it.
But yes, when you apply for the partnership ABN follow this guidance to make sure you get both an ABN & TFN.
