My tax return amendment is not showing on ATO online services

Hi,

I am trying to amend my tax return through ATO online services but whenever I amend it, it does not show on ATO online services website at all. I tried to amend it 5 times by now. I called ATO about the issue and they told me that they don't have any recordings for an amendment. What should I do in this situation? They suggest me to go through a paper amendment but I am afraid to make a mistake with that. Is there any other way I can deal with this?

Did you ever get a receipt when you lodged? It sounds like the final step didn't complete and perhaps you didn't get the lodgement confirmation?

Using paper is fine to do if online isn't working.

Thank you very much for you answer. I got a receipt and informed ATO about the receipt number as well but they said its not showing in their systems. Do you think an accountant would be able to fix this issue?
