If I have lived out of a property for 14 years and know CGT is payable after the first 6 years, if i was to move back in am I able to reset the 6 year rule from the time I move out and what time would i need to call this property my primary residence? I know I would still need to pay CGT for the previous absence.

Hi @SueM7,

You can use the rule again, but as you mentioned you will still need to pro-rata the CGT for the period that you did not qualify for the exemption.
