If I start a Novated lease with a PHEV in Feb 2025 and receive the EV exemption but then change employer in, for example, 2 years when PHEV vehicles no longer receive the EV exemption do I loose this benefit? Do novated leasing companies create a new agreement or simply manage the old one?

Unfortunately, this would void the exemption. Changes in employers count as a new commitment, which voids the FBT exemption requirements after the 1st of April 2025. You can read more about this scenario on our FBT PHEV Page.

how would this apply in the context of a Commonwealth Machinery of Government (MoG) change where a public servant may be moved between departments (without their involvement or choice) due to public service administration arrangements even though their job and role are the same?
would the 100% FBT exemption still apply after the MoG?
