Sole income of an estate is a taxable superannuation death benefit of $17,000 and need to complete the trust tax return. No one is beneficially entitled to the income, the deceased died last year and it will eventually end up in the hands of a non-dependent beneficiary. Is there no tax because it is under the tax free threshold or is it 15% flat?
