i am an illustrator and i am projecting I will earn over $75,000 this financial year. The majority of my authors are from overseas and I only supply digital artwork, not physical products.

Do I have to register for GST if most of my income comes from international clients ( these are individual people as well- not businesses - though they use an authors website to find me - the website is based in the UK, so I cannot easily add gst to quotes)

I looked up the definition of a gst turnover and it's says it doesn't include income from sales outside of Australia, so I'm confused whether this includes these projects or not?

thanks

Hi @AEL2025

Are you operating your business from Australia?

Here's how you can workout your GST turnover, there's no mention about not including income from outside of Australia unless you mean there's no connection to Australia?

You may want to get tailored technical assistance from us and provide all relevant info for us to work this out.
