Is a community committee raising funds using an eftpos machine required to keep each individual merchant copy of the receipt? If yes, how long do the receipts need to be held for? All funds raised are sent to various charities.

Do they report to us or need to declare any of these payments as income? If a tax return is required then records must be kept for 5 years from the day a tax return is lodged. See how long to keep your records.
