HI.

A car allowance is provided to an employee of $15k per annum. We do not require to keep records of their expenses incurred through the year. This is a fixed rate.

Do we need to pay Super and withhold PAYG?

Hiya @switfy123 👋

Yes, a flat rate car allowance is a payment subject to withholding as per the ATO tax table and is OTE and therefore superable as per the ATO SGR 2009/2 paragraphs 259 - 265.

It is also reportable in STP2 as Other allowance - V1 private vehicle.
