We have a small family history society, with is non-profit, only gaining enough to cover the ongoing expenses of running the group. We have a constitution, but no ABN etc as we do not run like a charity or like a business. In order to gain a discount on the building we wish to hire to host our meetings, we have been asked to provide a NPC (Non Profit Certificate). Is there an alternative way to get NPC without an ABN in Queensland?
