I am going on parental leave this year and I want to know if my tax rate will be adjusted according to what I earn each fortnight (which will be much less than my normal salary). I normally get taxed 30% (including hecs) on my salary, but if I earn a lot less does the tax rate automatically adjust?

Hi @Amaracdc

Yes your tax withheld should be based on your earnings for the period according to the relevant tax table.
