I have a 9-5 day job and I have my own abn and work as food delivery person on the side as sole trader. I dont have GST registered.

I want to lease out my bike and take a a break. The amount i would make would be roughly $500 per lease.

I have a bunch of questions as its my first time. sorry in advance.

Do i need to issue invoice? If so, how do i physically do it? is something I can make from an excel speadsheet as long as it contains the key information on (https://www.ato.gov.au/businesses-and-organisations/gst-excise-and-indirect-taxes/gst/tax-invoices)? or do i have to buy a tax invoice booklet from officeworks?

Do i then need to keep track of how many invoices ive issued by year end and sum it up at tax return time?

My tax invoice will be ex-gst because im not registered for it but does it change how i lodge my tax return if it was inc-gst?

Hi @3289598

You can make your own invoices or purchase an invoice book. There's software that creates invoices too. The important thing is your invoice has the relevant info and you keep record of all your transactions.

Check out info on business.gov.au about how to invoice.
