Can I buy an investment property with my super even though I already own a property?

If I can buy an investment property, does my super company become the “landlord” even though I will have the mortgage?

Does the super company do inspections, can they choose to evict a tenant etc and perform roles like a “landlord?”

Yes

  1. Super fund must buy property, receive rent, and pay expenses
  2. If the super fund does not have enough money to buy, super fund can only borrow via LRBA
  3. You would only hold mortgage if you are the LRBA lender

Best for SMSF to use a real estae agent for all that.

Only a licensed financial adviser (AFSL) can advise on whether you should start a SMSF or not. Same for LRBA.
