We are a UK based IT company that has been asked to design, develop and support a cloud based data analytics project. The customer is an Australian subsidiary of a US organisation. We will be invoicing the Australian company, the resulting code and systems will be hosted in cloud datacentres located in the USA, with all of our development and support resource located in the UK. The project value will be approximately $150,000 over a 12 month period.

Possibly not. We've made changes so that non-resident businesses don't have to engage in the Australian GST system unnecessarily.
