Hi,
How does a director or public officer of a corporate trustee (which is the associate of a number of Small APRA Funds) delegate the task of obtaining RAM authority to another person as an 'Indirect associate' (rather than principal authority) without having to constantly call the ATO to obtain RAM authority when onboarding each new Small APRA Fund client because in all of these cases, linking can not be done online.
This has been a problem for quite some time as these phone calls often require the caller to be on hold for up to 45 minutes while waiting to get through as well as having to repeat the same task for every new client.
The only reason for the indirect associate/principal authority in obtaining RAM authorisation is to ultimately provide RAM authority to the tax agent as an 'authorisation administrator' so they can meet MATS/MAAS reporting requirements and manage the Fund Validation Register.
