I am a foreigner who is receiving rental income in Australia, therefore, I am required to file income tax. I have an existing TFN with ATO. I now need to link the ATO online services with MyGov. To access MyGov, I need to have a STANDARD identity strength in MyID, which I am unable to do so, because I don't have any of the documents it is asking for, i.e. an Australian passport, an Australian driver license, an Australian birth cert, an Australian visa, ImmiCard, nor an Australia Citizenship Certificate. So, my question is, how or where do I get the help needed to verify my identity and/or documents, to increase my identity strength from BASIC to STANDARD in MyID app? Thank you.

Hi @XYS

You don't need to use myID if you can't achieve the appropriate identity strength. Accessing myGov with myID is one option. See myGov sign-in options. If you reside overseas you should use the myGov code generator app to sign-in.

To link your myGov to ATO online services you need to answer 2 questions about your tax record. If you can't answer these then you'll need to call us for a linking code.

Check out the link I've provided for the steps.
