Hi there, would a Hong Kong based global business which provides medical tourism services globally which a portion of the clients come from Australia after advertising in Australia, well over $75k in revenue annually have to register for gst and charge our Australian customers gst? We have no office, staff or anything in Australia. No services are rendered there, Australians contact us via online appointments and the product / service is delivered in turkey. I know international business with revenue over $75k of Australian related business need to register for GST but the only relation to Australia is a portion of our customers happen to be Australian.

Hi @JakeO
You'll need to work out your GST turnover from sales connected to Australia. Even though your sales may be considered GST-free, they still need to be counted towards your turnover. You can read more about Non-resident businesses and your GST turnover here. If you need further help about your situation you can request complex advice from our GST team via our website.
