I am a foreign resident applying for a Tax File Number. The application requires me to declare prevoius names. Upon marriage my name changed however, the marriage certificate is a translation and the Notary informed that they cannot notarise it because they need the original translator to be present to verify it is an accurate translation. The marriage took place about 20 years ago and there is no way to know/contact the translator.

Question: Would a certified copy of the tranlsated marriage certificate be acceptable for the application
