I am paying STSL via my employer but i dont even have a hecs/help debt! I enrolled in a masters degree but withdrew PRIOR to the census date. I can;t see any loans on my ATO either but somehow the last 4 payslips have deducted an STSL amount. Will i be able to get that back?

You aren't directly paying STSL amounts. . Your employer is simply withholding an extra amount from your payment to cover any compulsory repayment amount required after your tax return is lodged.

If you aren't required to pay the compulsory repayment then the extra withholding will be in your next tax return refund.

If you don't have an STSL then advise your employer. Provide them with a withholding declaration form.
