hi guys I really want to ask
so I am a student here in Australia and as long as I know as a student we have to pay tax for like 15.5% but my employee they told me like this "I have to put you in as a student also a foreign resident so you will pay more tax as you will claim it back". my question is should I pay both of those tax? I mean I'm a student shouldn't I pay tax only for like around 15.5% from my income ?
please if anyone knows about this problem let me know what should I do ?
should I call the ATO or what should I do ?
