I claimed stamp duty concession when purchasing my first home in Victoria. So long as I continue to occupy the property for 12 continuous months after purchase, can I still rent out a room and remain eligible for the principle place of residence stamp duty concession?

To amend the above question, I claimed a stamp duty exemption rather than a concession.
Hi,
you'll need to contact Victoria State Revenue Office about the stamp duty exemption.
From the ATO point of view, if you use part of your home to produce income, there may be capital gains tax when you sell it down the track.
