Has the issue of payment of superannuation for NDIS sole trader support workers been sorted yet?

  • Assuming there is an agreement where the support worker (who uses an ABN) mainly provides labour
  • Assuming that payment is made for the support worker's personal labour and skills (typically an hourly rate rather than a 'per job' outcome)
  • Assuming that the support worker has to perform the contracted work (they can't have someone else do it)
  • Where the support worker is working for an NDIS client so the work could be classed as being of a domestic nature
  • Where hours of work are generally set but may vary so that they are sometimes less and sometimes greater than 30 hours per week.
