Hey, I’m beyond frustrating right now, I’m trying to do my tax return this year but for some reason they changed the way to login to mygov and link to ATO, and now I’m stuck with I don’t have enough MYID strength to link into my ATO, I’ve called ATO a few times, and tried the way they told me: create a new MyGov and linking to ATO again, I’ve enter all my informations and also got the linking code from them, but everytime it all leads to the same issue: my sign in method doesn’t meet the minimum access requirements or Identity strength too weak to link to the ATO(Error code: PAB.DE.0006)

and since I left Australia already and I’m not an Australian I just simply can’t get any another documents other than drivers license to increase myid strength, yeah I even called MYID support but the same they told me to provide the app those documents to increase my strength to get myself enough strength to login to my ATO but I just don’t have another document cuz I was just WHV maker and left Aussie already so no visa atm, I don’t know what to do right now, cuz with the driver license I only have basic strength and they require standard strength and btw when I called ATO she said she see me in the system that I have standard strength (maybe that’s the strength requirement she meant?)

can anyone tell me how to solve it?

I just need to login to my ATO to do my tax return, cuz I would get fined if I don’t make it before 31st October?

any helps would be appreciated! Please! Thank you!

Hi @charlie840104,

Based on what you've shared, it sounds like the issue might be with the documents you used when you first set up your myID to reach a standard identity strength. Those documents need to be valid for everything to work properly.

This means, if you used your visa as one of the identity documents, you've since left Australia, and the visa is either cancelled or expired you won't be able to log into myID with those credentials anymore.

You'd have to re-verify two approved documents to reach the same strength again. You also wouldn't be able to access myGov through the standard username and password option, as you are sent an SMS with a one-time code, to an Australian mobile phone number, which you wouldn't have access to anymore.

If you're unable to reach a standard myID strength and in turn can't access Online Services to lodge your 2024-25 tax return through myTax there are other ways you can lodge:
