Dear sir/Madam


One of our client wish to aply for a release of tax debt , But i was not able to find the relevant subject in the tax agent portal.


Below is instruction from ATO website, i can not seem to find the Subect "Application for release from tax debt" from the subject drop down list under the " Debt and lodgment" topic



Lodge through Online services for agents

Follow these steps to lodge through practice mail in Online services for agents:

  1. Select Communication, then Practice mail.
  2. Create a New message.
  3. Go to the Topic list and select Debt and lodgment.
  4. Go to the Subject list and select Application for release from tax debt.
  5. From Enquiry type select I am enquiring on behalf of client

Hi @ranma21,


Hmm okay, if you can't see 'application for release from tax debt' from the subject list after choosing the topic 'debt and lodgment' I'd recommend a couple of different options:

  • choosing another subject within the debt and lodgment section, attaching the application and include all required info in your message so you can get the application sent through to us, or
  • post the application in the mail.
