Good Morning,

I am an International Student and I have some questions regarding working hours.

As I have just started to work two different jobs and one of them pays weekly and another pays fortnightly.

My concern is that I have worked seventeen hours only from 3rd November to 9th November. As I am allowed to work 48 hours fortnight, I was wondering if I can still work 30 hours from 10th of November to 16th of November.

I am confused if the fortnight counts from 10th to 23rd November instead. Please clearly explain this to me so i don't exceed my hours mistakenly.

Thank you!

Hi @JyotshnaChalise,

Work restrictions for student visa holders are managed by the Department of Home Affairs. We recommend checking with them to confirm the exact fortnight counting method for your visa conditions.

Working multiple jobs with different pay cycles is fine, as long as your total hours across all jobs don't exceed 48 hours per fortnight.
