Hi @IanV,
When your super fund transfers your super to us due to inactivity, it becomes ATO-held super. The good news is you can easily track and manage this through ATO online services.
To find your transferred super:
- log on to ATO online services through myGov
- from the top menu, select Super
- then select Fund details to see all your super accounts, including ATO-held super.
You can transfer it to your current super fund by selecting Manage, then Transfer super. This will let you consolidate your super into one account, which can reduce fees and make it easier to manage.
Make sure your contact details and tax file number are up to date with us and your current super fund. This helps prevent lost super in the future and ensures we can match any super to you. While you're checking that, it might also be worth doing a super health check.
If you get stuck, our superannuation team may be able to help.
