Hi. I've received a myGov inbox message saying I need to lodge PAYG payments. It directs me to a generic ATO info page when trying to pay it. So I got to the ATO online service, and under Tax -> Lodgements -> PAYG instalments I see I have in the 'Active' tab, 'No outstanding lodgments.'

The link in the myGov leads me to an empty page saying "Server error occurred"

Given I have no link to manage paying the ATO, or information about what is actually owed, and when I call the ATO the line immediately hangs up, and there is no way to even respond back to these messages, I have ended up here. I've only chased this up because recently I was asked to submit a survey about the experience, which is clearly suboptimal. I assume the online services from ATO are correct and that the myGov inbox message was in error, as the links it gives are totally broken (server error occurred). Hopefully you can help.

Thanks

Hi @jonxp,

It sounds like there might be a timing issue with your PAYG instalment message. The myGov inbox message you received may be notifying you that you've been entered into the PAYG instalment system, but the actual payment might not be due yet - it could be for a future quarter.

Since your ATO online services show 'No outstanding lodgments' under the PAYG instalments section, this confirms that there's currently nothing due for payment. The server error you're experiencing with the myGov link is a technical issue that we're aware of.

Messages from us in your myGov Inbox may include instalment notices, and these messages may contain links to our online services. However, you can't reply to messages we send through your myGov Inbox - this is normal.

You can check your PAYG instalment status and make payments when they're due by going to Tax > Payments > PAYG instalments in your ATO online services. This is where you'll see any active instalments that need to be paid.
