My employer has not reported the STP since the day I joined which is 27th July 2023. It is not possible backdate the STP reporting through the software, hence they only allow to report STP for the current payroll year and the immediately previous payroll year. Let me know about an alternative way to record and lodge STP for the 2024 FY?

That is incredible 😯 If they did not lodge via STP, then they must have had an exemption and are required to provide you with payment summaries and lodge the Payment Summary Annual Report to the ATO. There are penalties for failure to lodge if the employer didn't obtain an exemption from STP.

Hi @HOIMA,
Your employer can’t backdate STP reporting through their payroll software, but there are other ways to report past-year info. If STP can only report for the current and previous year, they need to contact the us for help.
We can give guidance on how to report employment details for the 2024 financial year when standard STP backdating isn’t possible.
In the meantime, your employer should give you a payment summary for 2024, so you have the income details for your tax return.
