I am working in child-related employment and am applying for a position in exactly the same occupation interstate. In that state, I need to attend in-person to apply for a working with children check, as I've never lived in that state before. Travel for this wouldn't be a relocation, as I wouldn't yet be relocating and haven't yet confirmed having the position. ATO website says that WWCC fees can be deducted from income tax if continuously working in child-related employment (even between different jobs), however is the cost of the travel to apply for the WWCC also deductible?
